We have made a couple of updates to the NRFA website and gauging station pages designed to improve your experience when using our website. As always, if you have any feedback please let us know by emailing nrfa@ceh.ac.uk.
There is now a link on the Search page (below the table) which allows you to download all station metadata. The download includes summary information relating to the gauging stations and their associated river flow time series, as well as further reference information together with topographical, land use and hydrogeological characteristics of each station. There is a description of available column header names.
In effect, this download allows the replication of information found in our UK Hydrometric Register (which was last published in 2008), and because the data is sourced direct from the NRFA API, you can be sure it is up-to-date!
The second update is the introduction of interactive AMAX / POT graphs on our Peak Flow pages (e.g. https://nrfa.ceh.ac.uk/data/station/peakflow/39081). New features allow you zoom and pan to explore the plot and hovering over bars / crosses give information about the date and flow. You can also download an image of the rating plot.
