The NRFA’s role as the UK focal centre for hydrometric information was highlighted in a recent book published by UNESCO for the International Year of Water Cooperation. The chapter entitled ‘Sharing water observations: turning local data into global information’, authored by Dr Harry Dixon et al. drew on the experiences of the NRFA to explore the issues around international hydrological data sharing.
